A fifteen-minute bike ride from the city center or The Hague seaside resorts of Kijkduin and Scheveningen, you’ll find the vibrant, pre-war Bloemenbuurt with a variety of homes in different architectural styles. You’ll find many apartment buildings in the neighborhood, as well as a fair number of single-family houses and ground and upper floors.
The Fahrenheitstraat, Thomsonlaan, and the Thomsonplein are the places to go for shopping and your daily groceries. Here you’ll find the finest cheeses, delicious breads, and freshest fish. You can also enjoy a snack and a drink in one of the cozy cafes or restaurants such as Bagels & Beans, Lunchroom LOT, or Brasserie Beekink & Co. You’ll find a large supermarket and various (fresh) specialty stores in the Goudsbloemlaan.
The Bloemenbuurt has lots of greenery. There is a long green strip along the Segbroeklaan with the Haagse Beek and footpaths. And you’re not far from the dunes for a nice walk.
