The Vogelwijk, one of The Hague's most popular residential areas, was built between 1910 and 1960. The neighborhood is known for its many detached villas and high-quality blocks of houses in brick architecture. In 1927-1928, 86 houses were built around the Kwartellaan, in the middle of the neighborhood by architect A.J. Kropholler, who also designed many churches and monasteries.
Several dune crossings from Laan van Poot lead to the North Sea beach. There is a large athletics tracks by the Laan van Poot since 1938 where the Haag Atletiek association is located. The Vogelwijk is a quiet and very green neighborhood with a "village" character. The neighborhood has much to offer, such as various sports clubs and stores located on the Mezenlaan.
The city center of The Hague is within cycling distance, and the dunes and beach are within walking distance. You literally have the beach as your backyard!
